Many individuals, businesses, and organizations have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the University of Waterloo. The university maintains a high level of productivity and accountability through its co-operative education program, contract research, scholarship programs, and other activities.
UW representatives in the Office of Development would be pleased to work with you, your business, or foundation to identify common areas of interest and facilitate a relationship which is customized to meet your unique goals, objectives, and challenges.
Your donation goes beyond a contribution of money. It is your personal expression of commitment to the university, its students, programs, and goals. Contributions to scholarships help us attract the best students; donations to equipment and teaching resources ensure that we provide our students with the best possible learning environment; support of the library provides teaching and research materials; and a gift to any of the priority projects is a declaration of your confidence and pride in UW and what it represents.
The Annual Fund raises support for each of Waterloo's six Faculties, four university colleges, the Library, Athletics, Co-operative Education & Career Services, Graduate Studies, and many other important areas on campus.
These donor groups provide special opportunities for those who wish to take a leading role investing in the university's future. Consider making a gift at the following levels:
Every worthwhile cause or organization needs strong leadership in order to thrive. At the University of Waterloo, we are exceptionally proud of the leadership provided by a select group of major donors who contribute gifts of $25,000 or more.
Leaving a legacy to UW. Information and personal assistance is available to you and your estate advisor if you decide to include a gift in the form of a bequest, charitable life insurance, a gift annuity, or charitable remainder trust.
Maximize your donation to UW. Matching gift programs allow employees and employers to work together to improve education in their communities and elsewhere. More than 500 companies now have such programs.
The Matching Gift Company Campaign Challenge is a new campaign that will be launched in the spring of 2007. It will encourage alumni who work for matching gift companies to leverage their company's matching program by making a special 50th anniversary gift to UW.
Donors to the university have many options when it comes to making gifts to UW. The type of gift you choose depends on many factors. Our staff would be happy to meet with you to determine which method of giving makes sense to you for both your financial situation and your philanthropic goals.
